- Connectivity options: 10GB iSCSI (copper) standard, (or optionally) 16GB FC, 12GB SAS, 10GB iSCSI/FCoE (optical), or 1GB iSCSI
- 12 Gb SAS ports for expansion enclosure attachment
- Accommodates up to 24x 2.5" HDD or SSD drive modules (within the base 2U enclosure)
- Can scale up to 392 drives per system with the attachment Storwize V5000 expansion enclosures
- 12GB/s SAS expansion enclosures support either 12x 3.5" drives, 24x 2.5" drives, or 92x 3.5" drives
